Stuffed Dates

These stuffed dates are one of my most favorite creations ever. They are the perfect bite sized delicacy and are overloaded with a bomb of flavors.


I used to make these for our huge family Thanksgiving dinners when I was younger and I was always very proud of my plate of stuffed dates. I kind of forgot about them for a while but then when I saw dates at Trader Joes a few days ago I knew what I had to recreate.


Anyone who has ever tried my stuffed dates has always taken a bite and then looked at me in surprise asking "WOAH what is in these!?" and they are so so so easy to make. If you can find pitted dates, your work is made even easier!


Try one of these stuffed dates and you are guaranteed to come back for a second date ;)

P.S. Add in some Camu Camu powder to your filling as a variation of this recipe, for some extra flava and a boost of vitamin C (optional)

 

dEATS:

(22 dates)


Ingredients:

  • 22 Medjool Dates

  • 4 oz Cream Cheese (I used Vegan Cream Cheese)

  • zest of 1 orange

  • 1/4 tsp of cinnamon

  • pomegranate

THE MAGIC:

  1. Make a slit in each date, to remove the pit.

  2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, orange zest and cinnamon.

  3. Mix well so everything is incorporated!

  4. Stuff each date with this filling

  5. Top the dates with pomegranate seeds

  6. ENJOY and thank me later !!! :)
