Fruity Mojito (GF | V)

One of my absolute Go-To drinks is a Mojito. I love mint everything and especially with some lime and sugar, it is an unbeatable classic. With Mint growing so fiercely in my backyard, I've been making some combination of a (Virgin) Mojito almost everyday while I sit outside on the patio to study.


I am not a huge fan of sugary sodas or sugary juices , and usually prefer to just drink water. With this drink though, I can avoid the artificial flavors and sugars and get all my flavor from real fruit.


I recently made these for my family for our Father's Day Brunch and everyone just couldn't get enough of it. It is SO refreshing and tasty as a midday drink. I usually just leave the muddled fruit+mint at the bottom and keep adding in more sparkling water (kind of like a bottomless drink kind of experience...)


You can honestly put in any fruits you have at home but below is one of my absolute favorite combinations! Try it out and make one for your friends and family as well- because shared happiness is always greater happiness :)


 

dEATS:


Ingredients:

  • sparkling water/regular water

  • diced mango (few pieces)

  • diced strawberry (1-2 berries )

  • blueberry (6-8 berries)

  • mint leaves (5-6)

  • freshly squeezed lime juice (1/2 lime)



The Magic:


1. Muddle together mango, strawberries , blueberries, mint leaves, and lime juice (Mash it all together)

2. Add it to a jar, and add some ice

3. Pour in sparkling water

4. OPTIONAL: add a shot of your favorite rum

5. Enjoy and don't forget to eat the fruit at the end :)


* Feel free to add sugar or agave as a sweetener, though the fruit usually makes the drink quite sweet *
